Knit Dianna Walla’s Stoneham Poncho, a top-down circular yoke poncho with stranded colour work. This is a great introduction to stranded knitting, thanks to the simple geometric patterns and larger gauge. This class will cover increasing in pattern, reading colour charts, and knitting stranded with two colours. We’ll cover different ways to hold your yarn, how to manage your tension, and colour dominance. Materials requiredPattern (available for purchase on Ravelry), 1370 yards of DK-weight yarn in three colours (exact quantities are given in the pattern), circular needles in size required to obtain gauge (recommended 3.5mm and 4.0mm), tapestry needle. Prerequisites: Participants should be able to knit, purl, cast on, cast off, join and work in the round.
