Workshop: Sweater Structure

with Naomi Endicott
$36
Espace Tricot, Montreal

Raglan, yoked, top-down, bottom-up, pieced, drop-shoulder, pieced – if all these different terms are making you dizzy, join us to decode the mysteries of sweater structure. We’ll cover the differences between various construction techniques, how to get a good fit, and which styles are right for you. We won’t be knitting (although feel free to bring a project to knit as we chat!), but we’ll have lots of samples out to demonstrate the amazing possibilities of sweater knitting. Materials required: Notebook, if you wish to take notes. Feel free to bring any sweaters or projects from home if you have specific questions! Prerequisites: None – experienced and new sweater knitters are all welcome!

We’ll cover different ways to hold your yarn, how to manage your tension, and colour dominance.
